Richard Anton KG – Specialist for Carbon Products

Founded in 1904, Richard Anton KG is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of graphite and carburizing agents.

Richard Anton KG is now a fourth generation family business and one of the largest producers of synthetic graphite, calcined petroleum coke and anthracite. The company specialises in the production of a wide variety of grain fractions and grinding down to the lowest micrometre range. Pig iron in ingot form has also been traded for decades.

Our customers include foundries and steelworks operating in the automotive and energy sectors (e.g., wind turbines), as well as mechanical engineering. The carbon products are used in these industries as carburizing agents to enrich the carbon content in the liquid iron.

Our second area of focus is on supplying the brake pad industry. The family business has been active as a strategic partner worldwide for decades. Other areas of application are, for example, the use of our carbon products as covering agents for copper melt, in powder metallurgy and in the chemical industry, as well as for the production of lubricants, cored wires and welding electrodes.
